Adding micro-sim to data contract

I have Vodacom 2year 2 gig/m data contract with standard 3g data sim and want to add a 3g micro-sim to contract using same data for my 3g iPad. Vodacom will charge me R99 a month to do this!! I cannot believe thousands of iPad owners put up with paying this to use their own data. Can other iPad owners suggest any better way of solving this problem.

Its R9 pm. That is what I am paying. I have 2 added sims to my 2Gig contract with VodaCom

Thank you for the trouble Megalin very interesting. Before I use this info may I ask when your contract started. It has been suggested to me that the charge I have been given was perhaps introduced only in about June/July this year?

Are you sure the R99 fee was not a once-off connection fee?

Yes sure R99 pm. I have now googled it and see My Broadband publicized the change from R8.99 pm to R99 pm for additional sim in Feb this year.

Good old protectionist strong arming move. R9 to R99, yup that'll show those frugal suckers we mean business, now go buy more data for the extra device or pay R99, it's your choice!

It was R9 but it's now definitely R99 unless you activated the sim before the price hike.
