Adding the promotional data bundle to an existing SIM?

In the exact same boat. I have a pre-paid cell c sim and all I want is the data promotion bolted onto it. Had a discussion with a rep at the cellc store in centurion and am waiting to hear back from him. It seems exceptionally silly that they can't just attach these bundles to any pre-paid cellc number.
