Hi

I recently got a Dlink DSL-2500U (needed to see if old netgear router or line was giving probs, lol they both are) a updated to the latest firmware from dlink (1.58 i think) it works fine until you configure a portfoward or firewall rule then it does nothing (ut cant download, web sometimes works) but the it says its connected, so i tried to run in half bridge mode and it runs perfectly, except its on the 3rd netowrk card on the server and if any of the other 3 netowrk cards disconnects or if i reconfigure the IP addy's on them it disconnects from the net and then retries, and connects, but its strange cause the networks are seperate except for them being bridged in windows srv 2k8, any reasons why

I'm not being very helpful here, but that's one seriously long sentence.

Shot in the dark: Disable DHCP maybe?

Could you perhaps cleanup your post and post one that is in respectable English format (correct spelling, grammar, multiple sentences & paragraphs) and one that has more detail regarding your problem & network setup?

It works fine until you configure for a portfoward or firewall rule then it does nothing ,(ut cant download, web sometimes works) but it says its connected to the internet, so i tried to run in half bridge mode and it runs perfectly. Its connected to the 3rd NIC on the server and if one of the other 3 NIC's disconnect, it disconnects from the internet (PPOE connection windows created) and then retries, and connects.

Sorry for the horrible post i put up, but i have managed to find why and what the problem was, i had to remove the 3rd NIC (Which Dlink was connected to) from the network bridge and it stopped causing disconnection issues.

Thanks any way
