So I have this issue at work...

This guy we hire sometimes to fix our pc's decided that cause this woman that sits next to me started downloading toolbars and stuff on her computer he blocked all our computers from installing stuff.

Now where it get's worse is she got annoyed that she could not install a program so she called him and he then gave her admin privilages through the network...

So now I'm stuck needing to install some stuff for work and I cannot get in let alone talk to this guy so I was wondering if anyone knows if I could use her computer to give myself admin privileges on my pc if so how, or any other way around it...

Also my bosses never asked the guy to block our access and privileges so yeah I'm not doing anything I should not...

He probably just gave her admin priv on the local PC which will not help you.
However if he gave her domain admin priv then she can logon to your PC through domain logon and give you local admin priv.
easiest way to see is to right click my computer > manage >add your domain name to administrators on your PC

Sounds like he is doing the right job. Ask your boss for more privileges if you want them. If you really are doing something that you are allowed to do this should not be a problem.

My boss doesn't even know how to turn on a pc

I once had to show them how to push the button to scroll between photos on her Mac

You can always download a Linux boot disk and remove the local admin password and you can install whatever you want with a local admin account.

What Ghoti said. Let the admin do his job and help you the way he is supposed to not how you think he should.

Ok these types of answers are getting on my nerves you people aren't holding the moral high ground here you are not the Jesus of computers and admins... This guy does not f#^^}*# work here he sometimes helps charges ridiculous rates and half the time f##%s things up worse that I have to fix on my own... Unless you have constructive help just mind your own damn business instead of thinking you know everything...

People like us have fixed enough issues created by people like you. This is why we think like this. You dont know what you are doing and I really dont understand why you dont ask your boss to speak to the admin. If removing admin privileges was not asked for by your boss it should be undone by the tech for free (as he has made the system dysfunctional without permission).

Advice was given earlier re the linux bootup disk. Work with that or get someone qualified to work with it.

Really?? So two wrongs make a right? Ghoti and InvisibleJim is right. Go the proper route and get it sorted in a proper official manner. And if that fails, then you can ask your boss if it is okay for you to follow what Ry4n said. If, however, you are the head of your company or company's IT department and are authorised to do so, carry on. But it seems to me you are just an employee who feels done in.

Yet I'm fixing issues that were created by people like you at the most ridiculous of costs... If this thread bugs you then don't respond you idiot... You're not being helpful and again you are not the Jesus of all administrators nor do you have a clue how my company is run so stop assuming and just let people who might want to help actually help... I can't believe this is all you have to do with your time, try shove your opinion in other people's faces on a forum... Seriously that's sad...

No, you cant afford people like me. I dont work with "pc`s" anymore. (I used to, not anymore)

Nope it does not bug me. It clearly impacts your emotions though.

If you read the first post you will see that I said I can't get hold of this idiot his phone is off and later I clearly stated my bosses don't even know how to turn a pc on... And I need to install stuff for work... So thanks for your useless opinion but rather learn to f#^^ing read then maybe have something to say... And again you are not the moral police here if you can't or won't help just don't post... It's that simple you moron, how does the Internet not get this...

I read your first post. And all the others. So you came here to find a way to hack into your company's network (not your own, I might add) just because you lack the skills. And then get angry at people giving you sound advice of approaching the problem in a reasonable fashion before resorting to hacking the network without your boss' approval? You are a piece of work!

All I did was ask for help I never said I don't have my bosses approval which for the record I do I but that's irrelevant I asked for help instead you try to tell me what I'm doing is wrong, you are a piece of work... It's amazing how you can't see that... But anyway I'm done arguing on the Internet, if anyone wants to help that's be great, if not just do the world a favor and swallow a few razor blades...

And you never did mention your boss's approval - kinda makes it relevant if you look at how this thread was answered by reasonable people. But thank you for your response.

/popcorn now half price - slightly eaten
