Adobe Creative Days in JHB - Whos going?

Adobe will be hosting a one day seminar on Creative Cloud in Johannesburg on 21 May. If you are part of Creative Cloud then you would have been invited. I was just wondering who from mybroadband will be attending?

I will be going as well, and cant wait to see the new workflow of the Creative Suite - now CC.

Got an invite but not going. Refuse to be held ransom by Adobe.

Work thats been done using CC can't be opened if you should stop subscribing. Adobe can then charge whatever they like and unless you keep paying, you can't open any archived files.
 
Well - Master Edition would set you back about R17000. One year subscription about R5400. I dont think they would become ridiculous and im sure the subscription will always be less than the full boxed edition was. With the fact that they do not have to package, print and ship everything, costing becomes alot less and I really dont think Adobe will become "greedy" or else they know that they will be losing alot of clients who will find alternative apps.

So what happens when probably ALL the good software becomes subscription based? Microsoft, Apple, etc etc etc.? you probably not going to have much options left - besides Linux... goodluck with decent apps for that.

I think we all have to make the choice - Go "pro" or hunt for apps and hope they do as well as the Adobe ones.
