Adobe CS3 availability

I'd be interested in knowing that too. My CS is getting a bit long in the tooth :o
 
Anyone tried the beta? CS2 was really slow compared to CS, the UI was horrible to interact because of that.
 
I skipped CS2. I really want CS3 because it has been written for the intel macs.

Come to think of it I just want Photoshop [-]and Illustrator[/-] - they can keep the rest.

EDIT - The version of Illustrator I have now is just fine. It's photoshop that I really need.

Huge changes for the mac community. It now runs natively on the intel chips.

At the moment prior versions are running in an emulated environment on intel machines and natively on the older PowerPC machines. That's all changed now.
 
It should be here mid-May. I'm so glad I held out on buying CS2 cos I'm loving the locked workspace windows. One of the better features of the assimilated Macromedia layout.

What's the US price? The US price is the cheapest you'll get the legit copy for, anywhere. HK copy is probably pirate, good luck with that. They prolly sell those CS3's in China/HK for like $25.

so a mac is basically a pc now?

so we might as well buy pc's instead of mac's

would be cheaper considering they use the same cpu

There you go getting things bass-ackwards again. Now you might as well buy Mac's instead of PC's - PCs don't run OsX. You'd have a better chance of getting me to have daily root canal than to get me to use windows on a daily basis. ;)

If CS3 lives up to the hype it's going to rock on OsX. I only need the photoshop upgrade because that app does most of my heavy lifting.
 
I've had a go with the beta. I'm running on an Intel Core2 Duo and there is definitely a difference in speed compared to CS2. It feels more responsive and loads up faster.

And...non destructive filters, at last (as well as a host of other features)!
