Hi Everyone.

Does anybody know how to Secure/Authenticate /Register aan Adobe Digital ID /Digital Signature ?

you mean for use in eg adobe digital editions?

as far as I know the only way is to either do it via the app, like adobe digital editions, or use the adobe SDK, which costs $70K per year

You are able to create it using Adobe acrobat , but how does one Validate it ?

Are you referring to digitally signed PDF's?

Yes.

There are a number of ways to authenticate a digital signature in an Adobe PDF form. The first thing you need to get right is the business logic of it though because that side of things can be more fraught and complicated than the technical side. Don't take it for granted that your organisation has a grasp of the business or technical implications of digitally signed forms.

But from there the way to validate a signature is related to the application that will be extracting data from it - SAP or whatever. Are you using LiveCycle to create the form?

No i am not , i have currently just created an ID using Adobe Acobat.

The ID itself is easy to generate, it just finds your network name and walla. It's the authentication side that you need to figure out, and that's very much a matter of governance. But you basically have to add certificates to the signature. It's all a bit of a pain to be honest.

This is the info i am looking for. Would you be able to advise me or point me in the right direction ?

Yes, so what I'm saying is that there are a large number of options out there. You need to look at what level of security you're going to need to implement this in your organisation. Some 3rd party firms will charge you handsomely for the service; Adobe can also do it for you.
