Just to clarify the details - Email sent and pdf file attachment uploaded to outlook.com website from PC not using Skydrive option offered this when the bug appears trying to read pdf on phone. Sending via MsOutlook Email client on PC to Outlook.com there are no problems with reading of attachments on the phones hotmail inbox.
I have detected a possible error with the latest Adobe Reader X 10.1.0 Build 20120818 compared to the previous version when installed on your WP. It would appear that with this latest version cannot view a pdf file when attached to an email-Error message: The file path is not valid ~ OK- but can only be opened if downloaded from a website or uploaded to your Skydrive. The previous version did not have this problem. Wonder if this problem will be rectified with the 7.8 update? I still prefer the .xps file type to .pdf but the commercial popularity of Adobe still requires their reader/viewer.
