Hi there,
Can anybody tell me who would be the best ISP for 192 ADSL and surely the cheapest..
Thanks

it will make no difference if you had dsl 512 or 192, you would still get the same account from an isp. It depends what size account you need, i recomend http://www.axxess.co.za/ they have the best comments and their service is really good according to many myadsl members. Their prices are really good 2

go for webafrica and make the most of the 30gb for R199 cap. It ends at the begining of november but thats 2 months(60GB!). In terms of service webafrica is as good or if not better than axxess, i dont want to diss axxess though either cause they are good. I am still staying with WA after november, show some gratitude for there special offer. :D

Actually if you go to cybertrade.co.za you can get a 3gb account for R100.
Dont think there is anyone who matches that?

huh ?

Er my bad, i meant cybersmart.co.za
R100 for 3gb for dsl 192.
Think thats the cheapest 3gb ive seen so far...

Had a prob with email. phoned the guys in PE from CT. Solution provided in 10 seconds. These guys are really very good and jacked up. Would recommend them to anyone.
What I like is that they also provide a dial up to the same ADSL account.
If november doesn't blow everyone out of the water will stay with them.
ISP = Axxess

excuse my ignorance.. but how can people still be recommending ISP's that are 2 - 4 times the price of WebAfrica R199/30gb promotion?

If you want to only pay R100 for 3gb then go to cybersmart.
Webafrica's 3gb options are more expensive than that.
So excuse my ignorance, but not everyone wants a 30gb cap, some people are happy with 3gb and R100 is cheapest iv seen so far.
Besides that, IF the hardcap comes in, the R100 still stands, unlike webafricas R199 for 30gb. You can also fix your price for 24months if you want.
Sorry for being so ignorant...

Sorry to say but thats not possible. They are probably selling that on a proxy which means its additional bandwith. Like, an extra 3 gb's will be R100 p/m once you have used your first bandwith. Its not like u sign up for a 3 gig account and pay R100 p/m for it. And anyways, its R100 p/m for a 3 gigs on a 192k connection and R219 for a 3 gigs on a 256k connection. The connection has nothing to do with the bandwith. Telkom provide the adsl line which ranges from 192k to 1024k. It makes no difference which line you have, all bandwith costs the same so i dont see why a 3 gig account should cost more if you have a faster connection.

A good 3 gig adsl account will cost anywhere between R199 p.m and R320 p/m (Rip off) but in truth there is nothing cheeper that is honest and stable. Stop trying to find the quick and easy way out because in reality that is not a viable solution.

I doubt with the november changes that cybersmart would offer 3gig for R100 still, on contract or not, they will adjust with the changes.

Dude, the first bandwidth allocation of 3gb is R100 on 192, the 2nd is R165 if you run out and want more.
If you have questions phone them.
I did.
The reason that it is so cheap is that they are selling it at below cost to build up a customer base/loyalty. So read the entire thread before adding 5c.
The 256k conn is a mistake, its supposed to be 1024.
This service provider is very cheap for 192 users and also ok for 384 users as i have already pointed out.
THis thread was started asking for 192 service providers, not 1024,384 or 512.
So if you have dsl 192 and want a cheap isp for 3gb cybersmart are the people to go to.
If you want 30gb go somewhere else like webafrica and axxess.
I dont work for these people and im not trying to promote their services i just gave the information that 3gb for 192 is available at R100, end of story.

I also asked them about the 1st of november thing and they said that the price will remain the same, whether or not that is still the case i dont know,i havent spoken to them for a week.
Go to their website and if you have queries phone them.

Hey this doesnt bother me, all Im saying, R100 for 3gig is good and all atm, but come november they will adjust it if needed, no contract will force them to keep it at R100.

http://www.cybersmart.co.za/

Note the 2nd last line.
I agree with you that they might do that, but i think what they are saying is that if u stick with them for 24months, you wont.
Its like fixing your bond.
As i said it is possible and i dont work for them i cannot answer for them, just what they told me, and that was that they wont increase the prices on nov1.
They might have changed their mind, but who knows.
I will phone them soonish anyway (mon probs) to subscribe, so i will ask all those questions 4u then.

Ciao
J

They actually phoned me earlier to organise an account and i asked them again if they are going to raise their prices or change them on nov1 and they said no.
They seem to have some kind of special deal, im not sure exactly.
They mentioned their prices probably wont change for 24months unless they come down.

Enjoy
J
