Adsl 4 port router help

Ok telkom issue 4 port router. Im new to adsl and need to fix network tomoz. Server pc just dails normal and everyone else gets inet out of the 4 ports? so ports r just like a hub? if i say plug myself into one of those ports would i get more bandwidth then say i plug the other port into hub with the rest of the users? so server on one, me on the other one, and the hub on the other one?

that is exactly what it is...a hub/switch..it will make no difference which port you use. do you know what the problem is, or will you only find out tomorrow?

prob is noob users, one using 98 pc , but ill just run the xp setup thing on that pc should sort it out, if not just add gateway and dns to it.
