ADSL 5102G Router - weak wifi reception help

Hello
I have 2 PC's, one with an ADSL 5102G Router, other with a USB dongle.
The 2nd PC says connection is weak, and the internet wont work on it.
The 2nd PC is just about 5m away, not far.
Can anyone help?

picking up the signal vs being allocated a IP address are two dif things - can you ping the gateway at all ?
