Regarding the 8mb lines, unfortunately only a few are currently trialling it from what it seems, not really 100% of the situation, havn't informed me much of it

I know we have one going here at work and it's quite decent, I'll try and get the readings.

I was wondering if this is only for a 4 meg line. i got a 512 and my brothers 386 is faster than mine. Photonman can you help me to please?

I dont understand.....

i went for the upgrade from a 384 kb/s line to the 4mb line.....

But if i test my download speed it goes to a max of 250 kb/s and if I test my line with saix's bandwith meter it says my max bandwith is 2.11 mbs which means i can download a maximum of 268 kb/s.....

Shouldnt that 2.11 mbs be something like....3.8 or 4 or something?

I'm just curious what the problem could be cuase my friend also has a 4mb line and there i download to a max of 400kb/s.....

Hmm

Dude nothing is wrong with your line.

Not everyones line can handle syncing at 4mbit exactly.

So when you upgrade they sync it at the fastest speed your line can handle.

Anywhere between 1mbit and 4mbit.

So you obviously sitting at 2mbit.
