To everyone out there who doesnt know whats bugging us ADSL users:

Here is a quick overview:

R414 line rental - Telkom ADSL
R300 (ISP, i dont mind paying this :) )
3GIG DATA CAP

I am paying my backside off for a "fast 512 ADSL connection" that cant connect to p2p properly, cant play games internationally and gets capped after a certain amount of usage....

I got ADSL for gaming purposes, I dont wanna need extra stuff like FreeProxy to play games.. HELL NO!

Now check That and compare it to the post on Hellkoms site regarding UK pricing:
"Be Unlimited started a pilot this week for ADSL2+ that will allow those involved in the trial to get broadband at up to 24Mbps downstream (48 times as fast as 512k), and 1Mbps upstream. UK Online announced on Thursday that it will launch its own ADSL2+ services in October.

Individual users can also trial the broadband service free of charge until the end of September, after which they will be charged £20 per month. (+-R200!!)

Users will not be charged a connection fee, and will also receive a Wi-Fi-enabled modem at no charge. "

So you tell me... Whats bugging us??

What's bugging us?

Well what's bugging me is that it's illegal to hunt politicians and telkom representatives, it's not like they are people anyway ...

What is bugging the ADSL users and people who generally want to use the internet to further their lives, and offer opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs:

1 Highest broadband costs in the world & with the poorest product offerings
2 Some of the worst service
3 No competition , even though there has been talk about this for 4 years
4 Government who has a clear conflict of interest, because they are are a large shareholder in the only Telcom Operator.
5 Telcom operator who shows no sign of innovation or wanting the country to join the digital revolution that has already swept most of the world
6 Lost opportunities ......Lost opportunities
7 Generally apathetic consumers in South Africa, who are so used to being shafted, that they have come to expect it!!
8 Very poor support for those that are actually doing something about the above points, like Hellkom, Anti-Trust and off course RPM.
