ADSL Access

Ok, currently at work we have a 2mb DSL line(Telkom i think).

We don't have access to the internet accept some financial websites (Banks, SARS, etc)

Now I've got the following question:

If I were to plug the cable running to the switch into my own router, connecting my PC to my own router, using my own account via RASPPOE, would I be able to connect to the internet or would it still be blocked?

is the work line filtered, or have you been capped?

you would first need to put the main work router into half-bridge mode so that you can create a PPPoE account on your own computer.
