ADSL Advice in Kimberley

Hi :) I've recently moved to a new house in Kimberley and despite being told that there would be ADSL, there is not. I'm in a covered area according to Telkom's coverage map, but they tell me they can't help. I've tried going into the Telkom store but I get no help. What do I do? Do I try to order a phone line first? I want my line for general surfing and also gaming and hear sattelite internet despite being more expensive is bad for gaming. Any other alternatives that could help, please???

Hi. Where are you located - street and area?
 
That's close to Virgin Active? I do not think that they have copper infrastructure in the whole area, but there is a copper line running from the mall to Virgin active that they can maybe tap into. Ask your neighbours whether they have copper infrastructure.

Also try applying for a phone line and see what happens.

Yes, I'm literally 200m away. Thank you very much for your advice, I'll apply for a phone line and see what happens. Really hoping I can get this sorted out
 
I've applied for a telephone line with ADSL. I've been told I will receive an sms either saying it's approved or rejected. Does anyone know how long I can expect to wait for the sms?
