Ok, I know I'm probably going to be told I'm a greenie, but need the advice.
Have mweb adsl on a telkom line. But despite paying for a 4mb, get 0.7mb rate here. Had endless fights with telkom, and if it rains it is useless...
Tried looking at wireless but the guys say my line of sight is bad, and one company didnt even want to come out to do a test because of that.
So other than fibre, what can i do?
Ideally looking for 10mb/s that is reliable?
any ideas?

Same problem here.. The only alternative I see is mobile broadband but that's really limiting because of cost. Have you found anything else?

I am also looking for an alternative.

Wanted doBasic for my mom (2MB line, 10Gb soft cap, ADSL line and copper cable rental included for R399/month on a month to month basis) but Telkom don't have any available ports :(

What would be her best alternatives? Looking for a decent amount of data for not too much money. Speed not critical.

Cape Town CBD area...

Thanks, people :)

Telkom HomeOffice 20GB LTE. - R399

I switched from ADSL to that after they refused to replace stolen cables and really happy with it!

Average 13mb up and 2mb down and use it for gaming and working sometimes.
Gaming mostly to servers in EU and work on servers in Norway and have absolutely no issues with that.

Only saw this now. Thanks for that. It does look decent...
