ADSL and PS2??

My friend has a PS2 with a network adapter and he uses it with his adsl. He says it works perfectly because the PS2 uses and HTTP port![:)]. Im gettin a PS2 but I don't know if i should get a network adapter. Can anyone confirm that ps2 really does go through port 80??
(Don't start trying to convince me to get Xbox or Gamecube[;)])

No problem - I have asked RPM if the forum software allows us to do moves.

Please dont get me wrong I wasnt' trying to flame you. It's just that as the board grows there are more and more scattered posts around and it's going to make it hard in the future when we need to start mining the posts to produce stats / info / documentation...
 
Well...i got my ps2..maybe i can convince my friend to lend me his network adapter so that i can test out how well adsl works with ps2...?
