Tha saga continues. My reports resumed after the 19th with a message that I was capped. I contacted help desk and was told to contact abuse so I sent the following:
Hi,
I suspect that someone else has been abusing my login details for the past week and the help desk asked me to contact you.
Up until the 12th of October everything was fine, however, the last usage report that I received from Telkom was on the 12th.
Today I received a report to say that I was capped and went into your site to look at the logs. I find it very strange that my usage has shot up from my average of 100Mb per day to over 600Mb per day in the period that Telkom was not reporting my usage.

I have never given my Details to any one else and on several of the days in question I was not personally using the internet for anything other than email. I have scanned for virus and Trojan files as well as spy ware, and nothing was detected.
Could you please confirm if this traffic originated on my connection -
021790xxxx or if it is indeed someone else using my details. As a precaution I have asked the helpdesk to change my password.
My details are as follows:
Chris Roper
TelkomDSLxxxx
021790xxxx
082898xxxx
I look forward to your response to this issue as I cannot be without
internet access for the next 10 days.
Thank you
Chris
This looks like to much of a coincidence to me.
Reports stop, abuse starts, abuse stops, reports start.
I bet managment not only condone but encurage abuse as they get to sell more bandwidth.
I am held responsible for the account yet can't change my password.
Still no reply so I will follow up again and (if I get back in) will update here.
Cheers
Chris
