ADSL Cable Fault MIDRAND

Hi

Is there anyone else who is experiencing ADSL Telkom Line Faults since Wednesday 07th April ?

We are in Vorna Valley, Midrand area, and according to Telkom, they discovered YESTERDAY that the cable was damaged.

Thus they still have to wait for the cable to be replaced by that department before it gets worked on.

Am I alone on this issue ?
 
Hi,

I am also in Vorna Valley (Kyalami Hills). Our Telkom line (entire complex, possibly area) went down on the 31st of March. Telkom Line Faults (10212) said the reason was due to cable theft. However, it was fixed over the weekend. ADSL has been fine since - just checked and we're currently connected. If you're around the area during the day, maybe you can have a chat to one of the Telkom technicians - they're normally at the "mini exchange" next to the Swiss Club.

My line's been down since the 1st April. According to the Telkom techie, the underground cables somewhere between my house and the exchange got wet :-s Have been calling 10212 regularly and usually get the same response - Techies are working on the problem. I'm in the Sydenham JHB.
 
im not in that area but they told me that my underground cable was hit by lightning now they say they fixed and i should be running fine but always only got a half ass job :(
