I don't know about cape town. I am in pretoria east - and it seems as if all intl and a lot of local traffic is slower that a snail on a sticky surface...

Can't play Midnight...too slow...
even gmail is giving hassles...

They mentioned it on 567 this morning. Some Eskom transformer blew, Vodacom went down, ADSL went down and some traffic lights.

Im in the Newlands/Kirstenbosch area in Cape Town and I've been online all day

Vodacom going down sounds right. 3G has been very patchy. Could not get into gmail this morning either.

I'm in Pretoria, Brooklyn (which is Pretoria east right? get confused by all this east, west so forth I'm not much of a map person) and my ADSL seems fine...
