Hi

Microsoft recently agreed to distribute Windows 7 without IE due to unfair competition in Europe.

With Telkom being an ISP and distributor is this also unfair competition?

Not sure if the two could be related.

Just a thought late on a friday. :)

LOL :D

Um, yeah,.... this has only been written about, complained about, cursed about, spat about and written on bathroom walls on this forum for the last 6 years :D

Where were you? ;)

Telkom were even taken to the competition commission by ISPs and found guilty of anticompetitive practices. But the decision was overturned because ICASA was found to have jurisdiction, not the competition commission. Now, if ICASA had the balls to do anything about this, I'm sure it would have been found that it was the competition commission and not ICASA that had jurisdiction.

Telkom's legal fees have always been very well spent.

Like the ADSL regulations proved, getting anything to stick on Telkom is like getting to grips with a wet bar of soap.

And how much do I pay for the cable connection to my house?
