 I have a huge problem, i have a D-link 300T ADSL modem which is setup as a DHCP server and my PC is setup to have an IP address assigned to it. Every couple of minutes my connection stops working. It stays connected but I cant access the internet. I then have to right click on my network icon and "repair" the connection. Then the connection is back to normal for a while. This is very irritating as I have done this about 10 times in 2 hours.
PLEAS HELP ME!

Its just been doing that the last few days. I have now setup my modem to bridge connection and done the PPOE through windows. It seems like my connection is much faster now....?
I will see if it drops the connection as often as it used to.
Any further advice?

Network Card sleeping - Check if your network card is allowed to be turned off when your computer enters power-saving mode. (Computer Management, Device Manager, Network Adaptors, Your network card, right-click-Properties, Power Management tab, Unckeck the allow the computer to turn off this device checkbox.) I've had instances where windoze keeps on turining the nw card off if some wierd screensavers are installed. Bizzare, but worth a look.

If you switch back to non bridged mode, you can consider giving your pc a fixed ip address, like the one that it would be assigned any way, and then adding that address to the DHCP table on the router as a permanent address.
