Please remember that if the DSL-link on your ADSL wi-fi modem keeps on disconnecting - it may be due to electrical inteference!!
I recently exchanged my old ADSL modem for a new ADSL Wi-fi modem at Telkom. The DSL Link, on the new wi-fi modem kept on disconnecting after about 5 to 15 minutes of usage and had to be rebooted every time to reconnect.
After 10 days Telkom had still not responded to my request to check my line!!! Anyway I reinstalled my network card, setup a new connection and re-configured my modem on the Marconi website - at http://10.0.0.2 - all without any success.
About 2 days ago I moved my ADSL Wi-fi modem which was placed next to my Acer LCD monitor to the shelf above - I suspected that there might be some sort of electrical inteference - and lo and behold my DSL link now stays connected.
