My LG Access Point has a WAN port on it that supports PPPoE but is an RJ45 connector. Can this work on Telkom ADSL? Obviously need to convert rj45 to rj11 - how?

That port is designed for a DSL Modem or Iburst Terminal. You cant convert the Network Port (RJ45) to Telephone Port(RJ11).

Cant convert the LG access point to be a router or modem. You have to have a router or modem first and then connect it to the access point. The access point is only a broadband router. If it is wireless access point then you can connect it to a non-wireless router and voila youve got wireless... The other method is to buy another wireless router and then you can connect the two "routers" wirelessly with each other and therefore increase your wireless range.
