k ... a question I haven't noticed anyone asking: Now that Telkom have announced the lowering of the 'connectivity charge', is ICASA not going to tell them to remove it as was the intended result of the MyADSL hearings???   I thought maybe Telkom are lowering it as a marketing ploy, and then when ICASA tell them to lower it further, they'll have their adverts say: "Telkom ADSL dropping EVEN FURTHER then before stated!!" or something along those lines..... :p

anything could happen in this country, ivy might even tell telkom they may not drop there prices.

The cost of broadband internet has sucked me dry, and it is recently considered a basic need. So know i am living off rice and bread! In a shack with a laptop and a bed had to sell off everything eles i own cos of telkom charging so much.. What am i supposed to do. Internet is a basic need so is food!

OH well

I think until the SNO has come and telskum have competition then we can hope for bigger and better but until then telskum will just run us all dry. The cons of having dsl in SA.

I am starting to get impatient with ICASA.
The toothless old granny that cannot even convince another granny that looks like herself to admit that drastic action is required.

Nice comparison :)

Don't worry, the prices will drop!

When 100 Mbit uncapped internet in the rest of the world is free, we will get here 1 Mbit with 10GB monthly limit for ONLY R500 per month all inclusive !!! Isn't that cool!!!

Now now, let's not over exxargerate here! You don't expect Telkom to keep that up to date! Maybe they'll bring out a 768k package.... :p
