ADSL DISCONECTION when using phone

Reported fault more than 24hrs ago and tried to get hold of TelkomZA with no avail. Is there someone else that has had a similar problem that can give me advice please.
ADSL works fine but as soon as i pick up the phone receiver or receive an incoming call the ADSL cuts off completely and only reboots as soon as the receiver is placed back on the hook?

You need a filter. One that has two female ports. One for the phone and the other for ADSL. You can easily pick one up from a helkom shop.

Your splitter is damaged, replace it.

Always have two or three filters handy and just took a brand new one out the box and still does the same.

Go into your router via a web browser and look for "connection status" or similar.
