Hi, I've got this annoying problem that my ADSL disconnects & reconnects @ 4am in the morning. Always at 4!

2004-10-20 04:04:55 - LCP down.
2004-10-15 04:04:53 - LCP down.
2004-10-5 04:05:02 - LCP down.
I don't want a new IP @ 4 in the morning thank you. This is also disrupting backups, transfers, updates, remote programs we have.
Telkom told me that either my connection is idle for on hour or there is a setting on my netgear DG834 router that cause this. I really don't think its anyone of those!
They also told me that the ADSL service has a 24 hour disconnection period. So I've tried reconnecting at 17:00, before I leave work, but the next morning my logs show again that the bloody thing dis/re-connected @ 4am. So where is the 24 hours in that? Is this 24 hours something that they must follow, or can they just disconnect you whenever they want? What kind of service is that? If the bastards want to disconnect me then do it @ 23:00 and get it over with before the night-time processes start.
Anyone have an opinion regarding this?
