ADSL Down Telkom Useless What Recourse do I have?

Seems like this is a common problem. My line has also been down since 4am Sunday. I logged a fault at 5am.

I did get an sms on Monday telling me that the fault has been resolved. My line is still dead. I've been calling twice a day since then too. How can they just clear a fault when the line is still dead?

Thanks
I am going to e-mail them.

I am also struggling with Telkom as it is.

Make sure you follow the complaints procedure as advised by them on their website and then you can email their CEO - [email protected]

I mailed him and explained in the mail that I have followed their complaints procedure and have given them sufficient time to attend to my problem - he is then basically 'forced' to respond to you.

I actually got a call back from someone in his office within 24hours and am now just waiting for a technician to call me. This will probably take another week or so, but at least someone is actually responding to queries at a high enough level.

Telkom's complaints procedure is something like this - call 10219, log fault, give enough time, if not solved, ask for a supervisor on 10219, if not solved within reasonable time, send email to the Escalation centre at [email protected], allow time, then email CEO. After that it is ICASA I guess.

By the way - my mail to the escalation centre was ignored like a stopstreet.
