ADSL Down?

Anyone having problems with their ADSL?

I'm at work and got a call from a friend who says Telkom told him that the reason his ADSL is down is due to the fact that somebody dug up a cable near Witbank.

I cant check from work but would like to know if anyone is experiencing the same problem

i'm flying along at 50 - 55kbps permanently on torrents..

Well no reply from any Joburg guys.. I hope that doesn't mean he is right!

Mine was down this morning but it looked more like an authentication problem than a line problem as my ADSL synch was fine, just couldn't create a PPP connection. When it did come back up again, it was back to its usual pre August speeds

also in jhb (west rand) - VERY VERY bad speeds (20k tops, then down to 0k for a while, then up to 20k again).
