Hi all...

Over the last 3 days or so again, my ADSL has been as buggy as it used to be (I know I shouldn't have said it was working and jinxed myself.)

Had over 200 disconnects in the last 20 hours, what I have found though is there is a lot of static on the land land (even through the filter) and you can actually hear the ADSL line through the filter. When it drops "clicking" the land line reciever on hook and off hook a few times causes the line to resync and connect again (usually at much lower than 2048 though)

Does anyone know what on earth could be causing this?

makesure all your phones have POTS filters connected and they are working. It could have something to do with power surges/power supply, not to sure on this but im sure some1 will enlighten you...

I only have one POTS "Phone" in the house. (Otherwise I only use my Cell phone) The only reason it is actually plugged in is because my Fiance plugged it in to the filter to test if the line was in fact working.. She was the one who worked out that by "tapping" the phone line on and off hook the line resynced (how I dont know but she did LOL)

Otherwise there isn't anything other than my ADSL router plugged in to the system. Which I bragged about last week as having been stable and not disconneting once in 9 days.. My own fault for opening my mouth

These are my current stats if it helps anyone (gotta love that I'm sync'ed at 960 downstream now when the profile is supposed to be 2048)
From the Log file, it would seem the I keep on losing connection to the ATM

PLEASE NOTE:
Error seconds and CRC errors reset after each connection reset, so those stats are just from my last disconnect

I haven't had as much, but I am getting disconnected a lot lately.

guys make sure your telephone is running through a pots filter
and your adsl modem or router is connected directly to the plug

Dont know about the others but I know mine is... Disscusing it Here aswell but no luck so far.. and unfortunatly I dont have time to phone Telkom because I cant afford to take another day of work to sit at home while the techs run from my house to the exchange all day
