adsl dropping

Morning All help needed here please
Ive a 4 meg ADSL line with telkom inti a d link router. and have vreated s wireless envirnoment in the house i need help with 2 issues please
1. is there any free software that i can use to monitor my incoming ADSL over a certain period EG 6 Hours.
i need this to prove to telkom that the line keeps dropping i suspect!!
2 Can any one tell me how samsung video hub can deliver HD videos perfectly to my TV yet Dstv via supersport deliver very poor Quality Video constantly buffering via their live streaming service.
Both above on the same 4Meg line
PS not at the same time
