Hi, i'm wanna buy my adsl hardware soon coz telkom claims they gonna install next week but wanna know if the Billion B700 ADSL usb modem is a viable option and if i bought this would i still require the surge protector?

Billions great, I use the 7202G wireless access point.

If you're in Joburg or Durbs definitely get a surge protector. Cape Town you don't really need one.
