ADSL EXTREMELY Slow!!!

I'm experiencing EXTREMELY SLOW speeds and numerous timeouts!!! In Fourways and using a SAIX ISP. Anyone else having the same problem?
 
well, nothing new on the noticeboards, guess its just that Telkom cannot guarantee the network throughput :(

Had that trouble to day, too. Found out that it was my Firewall. Switch it off and try again. Though it probably is ADSL! :D

Yes i have the same problem!
Its insane. Cant do anything. Some pages take 5 minutes to load some dont load at all. Cant even start steam or play eve.

I phoned Telkom support and they said they had problems everywhere and couldnt say anything specific grrr. Nice way to spend the saturday afternoon listening to that terrible Telkom song on the phone. Recipe for murder = Telkom.

I am also on Saix in Fourways. Will try an IS account later and see if it helps.
At least i am not the only one....
 
JHB South ... I also experienced slow speeds earlier on but seems ok now. But now its back to World Cup Soccer .... :)
 
Signed up with an IS account to see if there was any difference, but no.
Fourways still screwed. Phoning Telkom again. They are not going to ruin my saturday nite too :/
 
Telkom say they are receiving alot of fault reports from the Fourways area, so they looking into it....
 
Telkom exchange was stuffed in Fourways today. Logged a call with Telkom at 8:30am, they said all is running fine. Phoned again at 10:30 to be told there is a problem at the exchange and that several exchange cards needed replacing, the problem still persists so i hope tomorrow will be a little better.

I am also in the Fourways area and it has taken me over an hour to get this post up. In fact I am doing it from my laptop with my GPRS cellphone which makes Telkom look stupid to say the least. I own and run a pretty big International business and Telkom is a NO NO. I will be moving and NOT giving my hard earned money to the BEE to ride around Lonehill during the middle of the day in black Range Rovers. Fair is Fair but I am OUT OF HERE.

I agree gizzy.

I am sick of the feeling you get with Telkom that "you are at their mercy". You pay out of your ass and theres nothing you can say as a customer about anything.
The morons are probably watching the world cup instead of sorting our problems.

Luckily last night a friend of mine came around and brought his Iburst and it worked great. Much better than i thought it would. I expected i would be back on ADSl tonight, but it does not look good.

What are you waiting for? Dump Telkom and go over to iBurst... :D

I play fps games too :D Need tight ping

BTW its all good for me in Fourways now. Really fast. Booking out like never before. A Telkom techie phoned me last night to apologize, so some of them do try their best i guess.
