ADSL for newbis

Hello people this is my first post so I will try to be clear.

I got ADSL line + uncapped 2mb from telkom about a week ago.
I use a Tenda router+modem but I couldn't manage to make 'internet access' in my laptop after setting up wifi in the "192.168.1.1" way.

Do I require any specific username/password from telkom because I received only a OMS code via SMS.

Any heads up in this topic?

Another question , what is PVC Name? And what protocol should I use , PPPoE or PPPoA?

Yes, you need a username and password and then need to put these details in to the router (192.168.1.1). You shouldn't need to change anything else really as the standard set up parameters should be fine.

After you put the user name and pass word in the router you will have to verify the ADSL with telkom before it will work .

call the help desk (toll free number) and they'll run you through on how to do the self-install option (which I, and the others assume you have)
