Hi,
I am interested in getting the DSL192 conn from telkom (3Gb) and i want to primarily use it for gaming,

how quickly does it chew up your cap if u play every night for about 3hours??? Cause if it gonna last like a week then telkom can forget me as a new customer !!!!!!

just a quick answer:

if you play FPS games, then the data consumption is relatively high.

If you play strategy games or rpg games, it's much lower.

Bottom line: it depends on which games you play!!

Alot has been said about gaming and bandwidth/data usage of different games, try searching the forums.

Well its true that gaming uses up a fair ammout of data. It all depends if you are going to play on local servers or international servers. Your cap will still go at a rapid rate, but once ur capped you can still play on the local servers. Also you could consider getting a account with a larger cap. Anyways ping times on dsl locally is still better than Isdn anyday latency wise.
