Well I got my ADSL up and running as from yesterday...and yes it is only the entry level package...
384k line Do2 package...but it works like a dream...(for now)

Telkom (Closer plan 1) for phone line :no install charge
Telkom Do Broadband 2 with self install : no install charge

1 x Netgear ADSL modem DG834GT : Computer Mania R1099 on special at the moment.

so i'll see you guys on the SGS Servers Bf2/COD4 Hardcore/COD5
And to the noob pwner's if i can put in one request...be gentle

Enjoy and watch how quickly 2GB of data gets consumed. It will give you a practical indication how terrible things are here...

well with respect to bf2, you need to hang in there and get your upgrades, its so frustrating starting off(believe me you will curse like a sailor), but you gotta remember that the game is pretty old now and the peeps playing at the moment are pretty much the best of the best in SA!
