ADSL - How long should I expect to wait?

Hi guys,

I applied for Axxess 384 ADSL about a week ago. And they say it'll take about 4-6 weeks to be up! I've heard stories of ADSL taking much less time than that to be up and running. Does this timeframe seem accurate to you guys? and is there anything i can do to speed up the process?

If you can get hold of your local telkom it speeds things up alot in my opinion. I phoned them and they gave me the number of a technician . . 3 days later my line was installed

Mine was also done within 6 days. They just say 4-6 weeks to cover their own *****.
And if it takes 6 days the customer starts thinking;
"Maybe Telkom is not as bad as we think"

Depends... Mine was done in about 5 days. I have a friend who applied about 3 months ago and is still waiting
