The line freezes when online. Sometimes it needs a router reboot to fix it

ADSL line speed: 4MB uncapped

ISP: MWeb/Telkom line, (MWeb 4MB uncapped)

Sync speed: 3.4MB down, 0.34MB up
Attenuation: Well over 55%
Telkom suggests that we lower the speed to 2MB to IMPROVE the stability

Line speed drops to unusable speed randomly. Has been happening for the last few weeks, then spontaneously resolves (not related to router reboot etc).

Download Speed: 721 kbps (90.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 310 kbps (38.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 45 ms

I was told by Nick at Afrihost that there is an exchange problem - that's all I know.

My number is 01146327** and I've had bad speeds for 7 months. Sppedtest a few mins ago: Last Result: Download Speed: 40 kbps (5 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 356 kbps (44.5 KB/sec transfer rate) Latency: 84 ms 01 October 2013 09:14:04 AM
Telkom has been fobbing me off with excuses forever. This month is it "we're experiencing congestion problems with all the new ADSL applications" Typical screw existing customers while signing up new suckers who will also get the same bad service
