ADSL in Centurion

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if there are issues with ADSL in Centurion? Specifically Eldoraigne (012 654 xxxx). :confused:
Have had terribly slow speeds since February :mad:

I am in Eldoraigne. Been waiting since Jan to get ADSL installed. +-5 calls to call center to follow up on the activation, etc. Called Telkom yesterday and they didn't even know that ADSL was requested on the line. Kill me, kill me now.
 
I had mine installed in October when I moved here and I must admit, I was impressed. It took 1 week!!! I haven't had issues up until the beginning of this year. When I had it installed the telkom website showed the max speed in the area is 1mb and I'm on 2mb line :wtf: Since the November upgrades it seems to have gone up to a max of 4mb in the area. I see there are quite a few issues in the area and I am just hoping it's to do with them upgrading/working on the lines. I had no internet at work (Centurion) last week due to upgrades. I don't mind the slow speed at home for a while if I know it'll be better afterwards, but right now I don't know who to blame. Telkom or ISP?

Downloading a 1mb file in a browser can take a while (and sometimes even fail) and don't even try playing youtube... :mad: As far as I can tell torrents are fine.

My friend in Clubview has had similar issues for months and for the last few days they have had no connection.
 
Yip, so bad Ive cancelled my sub.

Telkom doesn't care, this is from techi I talked to past weekend, they know of the issue, but don't do anything about it.

Don't bother with tickets, they just close them without feedback.
 
I am in Irene, the exchange there cant do 4meg even tho there website says its available, tech says the best he get it to synch to is just below 3meg, according to there technician there is a brand new exchange that's just sitting there waiting for the power to be connected :/
 
ADSL dead since Friday (012 663) ... apparently cable theft (*yawn)

Does anybody have any idea as to how long this will take to fix? Getting info out of Telkom simply doesn't happen. Thanx!
