ADSL has been stable in Lansdowne for the past 48 hours at least.

How is the adsl connection other times?

I have just signed up for uncapped 1MB with Telkom and was told there is no lines available on the exchange. So its a waiting game

Me as well, I dont know what to do? I believe it is because of the exchange  2mbps line is giving me 0.3 to 0.6mbps download and 0.3mbps upload

I'm in Claremont and the connection has been erratic for over a year now. After 5pm the speeds plummet to less than 2MB on 4meg line. Having upgraded to 10MB, the latency in online games (Diablo III, League of Legends) has worsened. I barely manage to get 4MB on a 10MB line, though during the day it does look like I am briefly downloading for small 'bursts' of speed at 8MB.

It always feels like a delay and then a 'burst' of download speed. The Clareinch exchange (Which I assume you guys are connected to) has been terrible ever since I moved here, with my net going down quite a few times last year, due to fiddling at the exchange. Telkom just does not seem to give a damn about the WCLH Exchange....

You need to speak to Charl at Telkom to assist.

Try calling WebAfrica for your ADSL line management AND your data plan. May I suggest that you forget about "Uncapped" as there are many landmines and tripwires in the mix. Go for a capped account rather. The SLOWEST line is now 2 Mb/sec.

WeabAfrica is on 086000 9500 and please quote my client code as a reference as I receive a small reward as a subscriber referrer ;-) My code is GAR34

Good luck and thanks in advance . . . .
Pete
