ADSL in Moreletapark

Hi there

I have had very good ADSL for about 3 years now.
I am on Telkom ADSL up to 10MB.
The only issue I have had to date is trying to sync to higher speeds. Anything higher than 4 MB is not stable.
Reason is because we are situated too far from the exchange. But I don't suppose there's anything anyone can do about now is there.

This is the up-down state of my 4Mbps line, this is actually a VERY good day. Telkom is the ISP as well, when queried with a month's stats of resets the answer was check your router. Not the router, Cisco 2610 with DSL linecard. Sometimes it is so bad that I have to reboot the router to get any through put.

Hi all,

Does anyone else have any opinions on the quality and speed of adsl in Moreleta Park and surrounding areas?

I've checked and there appears to only be one exchange in the area: http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/TMRP
Surely that is not correct? Generally you want to be within 5km of the exchange to have decent adsl.

Any opinions on the Moreleta Park and surrounding areas would be much appreciated.
