ADSL In Muizenberg

Hi Guys

This past week I have been having really, and I mean REALLY high latency in the Muizenberg area. I stay in Lakeside but get my ADSL from the Muizenberg exchange.

I was wondering if anyone else was having this issue? I have tried 3 Different ISP's to connect to and they all end the same way. I don't think it is my router (I have a Mikrotik RB600 dialing my connection out and this has been happening since Tuesday last week)

The speed seems fine (I mostly get 400kbps + when downloading) but my latency is terrible. I used to get on average 186MS to an online game I play (League of Legends) but now getting 780ms+
I am also testing to my Local Minecraft Server I host which is In Cape Town and I am getting +-400MS (I used to get 19MS)

Anyone know of any issues or what could be causing this Issue?

Nope.
But perhaps try using Pingplotter Free to see where the latency is occurring. Could be the dreaded exchange congestion? I'm an exiled Muizenberger living in Bryanston, and right now my ADSL just gives up in the evenings. The line tests fine, but so much packet loss that apps just give up - cloud storage is a joke, and games are unplayable. This before everybody gets a free speed upgrade...

Me too Muizenberg, crap latency to first hop after my router.
021 709xxxx
2Mb IS Business service on 2Mb Telkom service
Latency during office hours is over 200ms to first hop after router, usualy about 10ms
