ADSL in Port Edward

Is there anyone here who lives in Port Edward that has ADSL ?
I'm possibly selling up and moving down there.

I know ADSL is there as I visited several houses which had ADSL but I want to know if 512 or 4 mbs works there else I'm gonna have to settle for 384k which I don't really mind but faster would be nice
And yes, its 45k's down from Shepstone

All DSLAMs are capable of at least 4Mbps - the issue will be the distance of the copper link between your new premises and the exchange as well as the condition of the physical copper cable.

Yes this is the problem.
We've been down several times, going again tomorrow, and driving around the place I cannot even find an exchange and there seems to be no Telkom road boxes anywhere either.
The house that I'm looking at buying atm is 2.4 k's (by road) from the "shopping area" according to Google Earth and thats probably where the exchange is, will check again tomorrow.
As for the physical condition of the copper I reckon original, 50 years old maybe

Anyways Telkom's exchange is 2k's from the one house I'm interested in and 186 meters from the 2nd house I'm interested in
