How can I increase the upload speed of my ADSL?
I have a 4 Mb line from Telkom.
Speed Test at night shows about 2.2 Mbs download speed and 0.2 Mbs upload speed.

We use this machine as our server for a small business. We connect to it from other machines via remote desktop. Hamachi supplies the fixed IP.

Setup was working fine with 3 computers but now that we are more computers it is just to slow.

The way I figured it out is the server only send the screen data to the remote machine, thus it must upload the screen image data to many computers and have to do all of that with only 0.2 mbs per second, and that is at night when the internet is fast.

What is the ideal cost effective setup?
Is there a way Telkom can customize the link so its download and upload speed are the same?
I know download speed must be fast for gamers and normal internet users but we need fast upload speeds on that one line.

Consider Fibre or Wireless. xDSL (for consumers) has very low upload and there's not much you can do about it.

Upgrading your line is about the only option, but the gains really aren't that much. Wireless or Fibre is the way to go as MikeKee said, if you fall into Telkoms LTE-A coverage areas you can get Uncapped 100mbps down 10mbps up for +- R700 P/M - at this point in time it probably the best and most affordable option

10 mbps is way better than 0.2 mbps, but according to their map they do not cover my area.

Looks like wireless is your only other option I'd you can't get VDSL in your area

How big an influence does Hamachi have? Will a fixed Ip instead of hamachi make a big difference ?

Switched to Afrihost, at least they get 3.6 Mbps upload and 0.36 Mbps out of a 4 Mb line where Telkom only managed to get @mbps out of the same line.

I am not sure how it works that one company can get a better speed out of the same physical line?

Telkom Internet's service in the area may be oversubscribed. If early tests show that switching ISPs improved the speed then that's the simplest solution for now. For increased upload you're better off switching to a different type of connection. ADSL doesn't do great in terms of upload speed :(

better off switching to a different type of connection
Any suggestions?
Somebody suggested NeoTel but I see they have many plenty options, not sure what will work.

There ain't any Fibre in the area yet.
