I am busy getting the ADSL line installed as we speak. I have a APC UPS (Back-UPS CS350) like this one.

At the back the UPS has a wall-in and a line-out. Do I run the phone-cable from the wall through the UPS and then on the UPS's line-out attach the microfilter/splitter or do I place the microfilter/splitter before it.

It would make sense to have the filter to attach on the line-out of the UPS as then the ADSL line goes into the UPS, any surges will be absorbed and on the lineout of the UPS the splitter/microfilter will feed off into the ADSL modem and the phone.

Your thoughts? Will there be any issues when doing this.

For the Phone Line, connect directly to the ups, from the ups you can connect a normal splitter, the one line from the splitter to the Router, on the other port of the splitter u can connect the microfilter and connect the phone to the filter.
