Our company currently uses iburst for its internet requirements.
We are moving to a new site which falls outside of iburst's coverage area.
So we are now turning our attention to ADSL.

What is the process and and what is required in getting this sorted out?
We have to get telkom to install new phone lines/switchboard at the new site anyway so do we get them to setup the adsl line there at the same time?
They have quoted us on a 4mb line with a free modem.

Is the next step to find a service provider once telkom have setup the adsl line, etc??
Or do we contact a service provider first and do they sort everything out? i.e installation of the adsl line, etc?

Any recommendations on service providers? Preferably with an uncapped option.

Please excuse my ignorance but i have always only had iburst (at business and at home!) so am a bit "out the loop" with adsl!

uhm ,

if they have given you a modem/router with your adsl then you are already with them as an ISP.

If you only want the line with them then that needs to be specified. & they woyld not give you the router. & this is most probably a capped option.....

What exactly are they offering you? is it a 12/24month contract?

Rather let your IT guy set it up than Telkom before they mess things up.

Yeah, on the quote they have included a 9gb package (2yr contract)
But we would want to look at an uncapped option, and wouldn't mind not supporting telkom. So yeah, obviously the free modem would fall away.

So best would be to phone up a provider (mweb.axxess, etc) and get them to sort everything out then?
