Okay, so there are quite a few ISP out there with special kinds of offers on but I have a little problem.

To start of with, I am a student so I am looking for an affordable ADSL package. The last few months I have been forced to drive to the nearest ENGEN (about 30km away from my house so I also have to refuel everytime, 60km for the trip) and buy Axxess 1-2gb prepaid ADSL. It is quite expensive. This works out at R30 for the fuel. R70-R140 for the bandwidth. R100-R170 for bandwidth isn't fun and sounds like I am sitting in 2005 again.

So I started browsing these forums with the hope of finding a decent service provider which is cheap and provides good support.

Afrihost came to mind but I don't fancy the billing methods. Since I am a student I only have my own savings account and no credit card. Their R29 per gigabyte was really attractive and I was thinking of a way to pay but couldn't get past my parents. I have heard many good things about them.

The other day I read that G-Connect would release their mobile top-up service. I thought that this would be awesome (without reading the article I assumed that it would be like those mobile services, SMS "ADSL X", X would be the amount of bandwidth you would like to purchase" to a specific number, the amount paid will be deducted from your airtime/contract and the details will be sent to you in the form of a SMS. This was not the case.

It is nice to see all these price reductions and to read the about the good service but still kind of frustrating when these services are a little out of reach.

I use the internet to basically watch YouTube videos and to look at the stockmarket. I also play WoW but only when it is holidays.

So basically, in a nutshell, I am looking for a ISP which provides cheap bandwidth, decent service and a much cheaper way to top up with.

I dislike paper work. Registration isn't fun and it is time consuming.

Help would really be appreciated. Really don't like wasting money.
