ADSl issues in PTA North

Is there any ADSL or ISP problem in the Pretoria-North area. My ADSL worked fine up to an hour ago, the modem connects correct but nothing else work from there onwards.

I have an 4mg line, ISP is also Telkom.

I spent 90 minutes being transferred to different people in the call centre. Finally got through to Chris and for about 30 minutes, everything worked well, then crashed again. Earlier today, speed was 10kbps, then dsl worked but could not connect to the internet. Now speed is around 20Kbps.... incredibly frustrating. Also switched to 3G.

Just spoke to telkom (seems this is the time to call the call center). The guy said there is network congestion and that this usually happens at the end of the month due to people using up the remainder of their caps. Thank goodness I have uncapped 3G as a backup

I see this morning everything on adsl looks ok again. Good to know it has nothing to do with a faulty line.
