Hey guys,

Earlier tonight my ADSL was still flying, untill I tried to enable my dad's pc to access the net via route sentry on mine following the instructions antibody gave in this thread. However when I opened some ports and tried to save my settings, my router got the bright idea to reset itself to factory settings !!!!

After that, my DSL light has been flashing away like the 5 weeks I was waiting for it to come on....sigh. Now I am going to take it to a friend tomorrow to go and check whether or not the router synchronizes at his place or not.

I struggled my butt of for two hours, but I finally managed to get the factory IP of the router to change the damm settings back to everything it was before.I thought that if I inserted the correct settings again, like the PPPoE LLC setting that it would sync, but alas it didnt......

What do u guys think happened? Did I managed to screw up my *cough*2nd hand router that I got for free*cough* or is there a fault with my line ? I think I tomorrow will hold the answer for me, when I test it at my friends house.

In the mean time is there anything else that I can try?????

Thanks in advance...

Bad cough you have there. I often find lemon and honey in a cup of hot water does the trick. Dark chocolate is also very effective.

I certainly dont hear anyone else laughing...do you ? Turned out it was my router that couldnt synchronize anymore. Went and bought a new today, and I am back online :)
