ADSL line, is it active?

I ordered an ADSL line through Afrihost about 13 days ago, they said I must wait until Telkom messages me to say the line is activated etc. I haven't heard anything from Telkom yet.

Last night I decided to set up my modem (old Billion 5102G), and I found that both the ADSL and PPP lights were glowing. Does that mean my line is actually active?

Also using a guest account, I could access the Telkom website. Afrihost gave me a Telkom reference number but it didn't work at http://www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl
